I bought this bike to use at home on days when I don't go to the gym.
Assembly was straightforward. It took me about 2 1/2 hours working alone. There are a lot of parts, but the instructions are clear and easy to follow.
I was impressed that the build of the bike is quite sturdy for a home model. It does not feel cheap or flimsy, like some other home workout equipment.
On the plus side, the bike is quiet, the forward-back seat adjustment works well, and the display screen is simple and functional.
On the down side, the arms are not adjustable. From an engineering POV, it would be pretty easy to create a mechanism for making the arm shafts longer or shorter. Also, the ability to tilt the handles would be nice, but is not a deal breaker.
The back rest is firm and not adjustable. That's okay, but I find the seat a bit hard and uncomfortable. I added a memory foam seat cushion, which improved the comfort a lot.
There are 8 resistance settings. I'm in good shape, but still cannot comfortably go higher than "2." The resistance curve rises very quickly
Overall, for a machine at its price point, the VANSWE offers very good value for the money. It has been reliable so far, and allows me to get a good cardio workout without having to go out in the cold or rain.
