Timber helps keep trails open to mountain biking
The motion of the bike activates the sound. Because the sound is passive, you communicate to other trail users a friendly, “Hey, I’m just letting you know I’m here”. (Instead of “Beep, beep! Get out of my way!) The advance notice gives hikers or oncoming riders time to find a safe place to move off the trail.The crisp clean sound of the solid brass bell travels a long distance, so you’ll announce your presence well in advance.
For more frequent ringing on smooth terrain, mount your bell at a slight diagonal
Standard Mount
If you normally ride a variety of terrain, with rocks, gullies, jumps and downhills.
Diagonal Mount
If you typically ride smooth and gentle trails, or if you would like your bell to ring more often.
Seat Post Mount
If you only use your bell on downhills, and steep technical descents.
