Does this solar panel work with all Ring doorbells?
It is compatible with Ring Video Doorbell 2, 3, 3 Plus, 4, and Battery Doorbell Plus that use removable rechargeable batteries, and it is not compatible with wired models such as Ring Doorbell (1st Gen), Wired, Pro, Pro 2, or Elite.
How does it charge the doorbell?
The solar panel delivers a stable 0.5A charging input to the VUEBEE battery pack, which then continuously powers your Ring doorbell without the need for manual recharging or battery removal.
Do I need to replace the original Ring battery?
Please remove the original Ring battery and install the VUEBEE battery pack included in this kit. It has a DC input port for direct solar panel connection. The original Ring battery does not support solar charging.
How long is the cable?
The included 16.4 ft (5 m) weatherproof cable provides flexible installation options to help position the solar panel for optimal sunlight.
Can it overcharge or damage my Ring doorbell?
No. The built-in intelligent IC provides protection against overcharging, overheating, overvoltage, and short circuits to ensure safe operation.
